Is the LWB Trooper a capable off-road tool?

Or is it playing poor second (or worse) to other marques/models??

If it is capable, is there anyone green-laning in/around N.Essex who could show me the ropes in the new year?

LWB trooper with a small lift are very capable, SWB and LWB have disadvantages and Advantages, most prefer SWB. But LWB can be an advantage sometimes, ever since seeing my mates LWB shogun doing some good things I've changed my mind from SWB to LWB.

From what I've seen they are very capable, and seem quite robust. I personally don't hold much with the arguments of differing marques of vehicles, I think you get to a point where they are all so similar, that it depends on driver technique and the conditions. Lots of people on here seem to abuse the LWB quite successfully! Wink

Cool. . . could see me getting AWD next year then  Cool

Chuckled earlier, we'd parked in the local retail park and when we got back to the truck, a SWB Mk2 had parked almost next to us. Sort of looked like it was 'offspring' to ours.
Kirsty was all aaaaawwwwww ain't it cute.
Might have to keep an eye open for one for her next year Wink

I have had great fun with mine and found it very capable - only the driver let it down to be honest.  Yes my mates Disco3 with air suspension and all sorts of buttons takes away alot of the driver faults and his has a few inches more clearance than mine but that was it.

You'll be surprised what they can do just make sure you are running on at least All Terrains

Going to get some 265/75/16's one at a time, as money allows, in the new year - have already decided on AT's. . .then I'm on for a 2" lift.

It's been a helluva long time since I've been so 'into' a vehicle. . . really looking forward to seeing what it's made of (metaphorically speaking Wink )

Don't worry, once you've been offroad a few times, you'll soon see what it's actually made of Wink

Nr. Clacton-on-Sea.

At the very least I'll have to get the tyres sorted, not much wear left on what I have (which look a lot like road tyres)
