Could be steps and rocks, I don't know for sure as I have never been.
I can't see you having a problem on a lane that is apparently ok for soft roaders. The thing is we will be going steady not hammering around like at an off road site. |

As for the terrain - Houndkirk road is fine without any protection - it's a nice ramble over an old quarry track - It would nearly be possible to take a car over if it had a little more ground clearance.... still a very good drive though.
Stanage.... hummm.... coming from redmire reseviour there's a nice trace which takes you over stanage pole - This I've been over a number of times, and again is a nice track.... Then the track goes down the front of the edge... I've been over this ONCE in a LWB coil landy - Never had the balls to do it myself, although never been over with someone else spotting - it's very rocky and very taxing.
Once down the front, there is another nice track which leads out to the back of hathersadge.
Saying that - I used to blast up and down on my old KMX.
There's also another couple of tracks around the hope valley. so I suppose it's what the day brings, and what people have in mind (matskii)
If people don't want to damage anything, there's plenty of space for turning, and plenty of tracks which should not cause any issues.
