Can anyone tell me if a 3.1 alternater will fit a 2.8td engine please, if not can you get them for a 2.8 with more amps they only have 50 ( bit small i think)..

So yes you can get them with bigger ampage, dont know if the 3.1 one fits though.

the 3.1 and 2.8 alternator are interchangeable
not all 3.1`s have the 80 amp on though some have 50amp
