which is the correct summer coolant / antifreeze for the uk in 3.1 troopers and does the colour matter

in our other cars vauxhall and ford it uses the pink stuff , just wondering if can use the same in this older diesel engine

On the older 2.8, and 3.1 diesels you can use either, just don't mix it.

I would use the pink stuff on the 3.0 diesel and 3.2 petrol.

the stuff I,ve got says is pink with OAT on the side , so I,m going to top it up with that -- ok

one more question - does coolant/antifreeze play any part in lubricating the water pump ( read it somewhere on here that it did , but I thought it was a sealed unit ) just curious
