Basically yes, But you'll either need a pulley (designed for non air con) or a shorter belt there is only one wire to the aircon pump just blank it _________________

Has it got a gas charge in? If so you want it reclaimed first. Deliberate release of refrigerant gasses is illegal and as such the Enviroment Agency can get you fined up to £20,000 and for repeat offenses up to 5 years at her Majesty's pleasure.
1Kg of R134a released into the atmosphere is the equivalent of 1300Kg of CO2 (yes over a tonne of gas) ... and thats a friendly refrigerant gas. Average aircon system holds up to 1Kg of gas in. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition

Cool beans buddy
I know I came over a bit heavy handed there but for two reasons it has to be said. One is the sheer scale of the effect refrigerant gasses have on the Enviroment. Secondly as a reputable owners club we cannot be seen to promoting illegal activities and give advice where advice is needed.
On the advice side of things you can indeed remove the aircon pump, but you will need to replace it with an idler pulley. If you click my banner in my signature and go to page 5 of my readers drive thread it shows you what I mean. You will need a shorter belt though as the air-con power steering belts are longer. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
