Had a cracking days laning in the Lake District this Sunday, bit surreal though as the Lakeland Trial Marathon was being run, there were absolutely hundreds of folk from running clubs all up and down the country, all running the lanes, they must be unbelievably fit to run a marathon distance over terrain like that, one fella must have taken a fall as his nose was obliterated and bleeding all over his face but he was carrying on, one fella's vest must have been a bit abrasive as both his nipples were bleeding, that must have smarted  Shocked

I took a few vids, but as usual made a right backside of them, here's what little did come out.

Just the one video

typical wilky ....we were over there this wk end ...done parkmoor on sat but were told gate at end was locked so we just went to top then turned round and came back down ......done style end on sun ..that was fun as floods had washed a big crater out of middle of track at bottom ...then getting 2 disco's out of gate at end was fun  Wink

Parkamoor is always closed at the top Col, it turns into a bridleway, so turning round is the only option, that gate at the end of Stile End is a cracker, sometimes the odd couple that live there come out take pictures of you going through, did you turn round and go back up or go across to Breast High, although that's been graded recently and isn't the lane it was, but the water crossing is still the same, pretty lairy when it's been raining hard.

We split the lakes into three sections, so we never get bored going back  Very Happy Those pics were on Parkamoor
