I have just bought a 2004 Rodeo and my first tank of fuel works out to be 15MPG. Nothing in the tub, not towing, driving to shops etc so no long runs, mostly below 20MPH, auto gear box, 3.0L. I did a 0-60 time and it was 16 seconds so I do not think it is losing power. Is this expected? I don’t think it is, what could I check that might cause it? I’ve changed the oil and filter and also the air filter but it didn’t look that dirty.

I have 2005 3.0 auto. Driving 50% in town, on average 25-27mpg. Fuel gauge is not very accurate, red light comes up with 20l of fuel in a tank. I didn't check  0-60 but it feels slow.

I need to take it on a run. See what it’s like for an hour on the motorway. I don’t mind if the MPG is expected but if there is a fault I would like to get it sorted

I got the auto gear box oil changed and it made a massive difference. I now realise the engine was revving high as if a clutch was slipping. Going uphill was a pain as I had to rev it high to get much motion. Now it’s brilliant, it seems to spend most of its time in almost tickover. I also took it on a few runs and now MPG and performance is as I would expect.
