Hi new to this site.
I have just read about the problem of engine wiring loom and having to wait 1.5 weeks
for the part.
Let me explain my problem.
I bought an Imported model from Thailand called D-Max 3.0l turbo diesel auto.
Lovely car to drive until it went wrong.
The engine just cuts out without any warning.
After being in and out of garages and spent a small fortune on it, I am told it needs a
new engine wiring loom.
Its now in a garage of a friend of mine and he has tried every means to locate a loom
for it, with no success at all.
I have tried in vain on websites and main dealers.
The car has been in the garage for over a year now and I dont know what to do.
Can someone help me please. |

The wiring loom on my car has been cut in several places by an Isuzu main dealer I had the missfortune
to have left it with that the garage its at now recomends a new loom to solve the intermittent cutout
problem for good.
P.S. the year of model is 2004 on a 53 plate.
Thanks

james you should be able to buy the looms needed from a main dealer who can order then through IM group the importer it takes about 4-6 weeks from isuzu thialand ,the looms come in differant sechions so it you know where they cut it you can just get that bit ,,why did they cut it ,if the cut bits are soldered back they should work ok,,i use mat at t h white 01285653354 for my parts he is good at finding things even the strange things i want to add to my one |

I had the wiring loom problem after an accident in the end had the loom repaired. Over the issue of the loom Bearing in mind I had teh accident in August the accident repair centre had a call from Isuzu saying the loom would be in country in Nov. But I had truck back in September. So the Repairers cancelled order. Also the cost of loom to repair centre was nearly £950. So not a cheap part. Its one thing that has put me off getting a new rodeo as mine is nearing 3 years old. and 75,000 miles. Not sure what to get though. |

Thank vou for your infomation I am greatfull for all your help.
The Main Dealer that cut the loom to bits is in Kent and I get
the oppinion that they had no intention of fixing the problem
as its an import.
I have tried many a Main Dealer and found no intrest in
locating imported parts.
The joints are not soildered, just connectors.
I will look into repairing all joints and see if this will work.
I still have one problem with a muilti plug connections.
The plug is a 26 pin connected to the ECU on the near side
of the engine.
A mechanic took it apart and the wired pins came adrift and
he does not know the right sequence to put back.
Their are about 8No wires.
Is there a way to find this sequence
Thanks again James |

If you are struggling I would speak to Costwold Subaru & Isuzu... if any dealer can solve a tricky problem it will be these guys. The customer service is superb. _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60
